• Experience of Energy Accreditation. • Experience of working with energy suppliers. • Experience of working with clients, project groups and suppliers. • Development and implementation of Service Level Agreement / Standards. • Experience of operating Trend BMS. • Experience of BMS systems commissioning. • Knowledge of CAFM systems.

• Knowledge and experience of managing the legal framework for energy compliance, including reporting performance. • Knowledge and experience of producing Display Energy Certificates for large estates. • Hands on experience of managing utility procurement contracts, overseeing supplier performance and challenging records. • Experience of operating BMS or plant systems including the management of BMS data. • Understanding of mechanical and electrical building engineering on large complex sites with a focus on targeting energy savings. • Experience in the management of utilities and within a large and diverse property portfolio. • Proven track record in providing a customer focussed service. • Knowledge of current Health & Safety and Environmental legislation. • Building services engineering related qualification (NVQ Level 4 or equivalent). • Demonstrable knowledge of the opportunities presented by energy efficiency improvements to infrastructure such as HVAC systems, MEP systems, building management systems, and the building envelope. • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to establish effective networks both within and outside of the University. • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills to motivate various colleagues to work towards a common goal. • Ability to prepare tender documents including drawings and specifications. • Excellent numerical skills. • Excellent diagnostic skills. • Customer care skills. • An understanding of electrical Triad charges. • Adaptable approach, responding to unexpected needs within a fast changing environment. • Ability to train educate and train other managers and the workforce. • Knowledge and enthusiasm for energy management and renewable energy issues.
