South Western Railway confirms services during May’s industrial action: “We have confirmed the services we will be able to operate during an upcoming week of industrial action affecting our network. This includes an overtime ban for members of the ASLEF union from Monday 6 to Saturday 11 May and a full day of strike action on Tuesday 7 May. Strike action will impact other train operators on different days during the industrial action period. Customers are advised to check their whole journey before travelling between Monday 6 and Saturday 11 May. South Western Railway confirms services during May’s industrial action On Monday 6 May, the Early May Bank Holiday, a revised service will run due to both industrial action by the ASLEF union and engineering work in the Aldershot, Reading, Salisbury and Winchester areas On Tuesday 7 May, a significantly reduced service will run on a limited number of lines due to strike action, with large parts of the network closed From Wednesday 8 to Saturday 11 May, a revised service will again run due to industrial action On Saturday 11 May, engineering work in the Ascot, Ash and Havant areas will mean further service changes SOUTH Western Railway (SWR) has confirmed its services during industrial action from Monday 6 to Saturday 11 May. On Monday 6 May, the Early May Bank Holiday, a revised service will operate across the SWR network due to a ban on overtime working by the ASLEF union. Engineering work will also take place with line closures in the Aldershot, Reading, Salisbury and Winchester areas leading to further service changes. Customers should check before travelling. Journey planners expected to be up to date on Wednesday 1 May. On Tuesday 7 May, a significantly reduced service will run on a limited number of lines due to strike action by the ASLEF union. Large parts of the network will be closed and trains will only run between:

London Waterloo and Basingstoke

· London Waterloo and Feltham via Twickenham

London Waterloo and Guildford via Woking

London Waterloo and Woking

There will be no services to stations such as Southampton Central, Portsmouth Harbour, Windsor & Eton River- side, Reading or Exeter St Davids. There will also be no service on the Island Line.

Trains will only run between 0700 and 1900. There will be no services outside of these times.

Customers are advised to only travel if their journeys are absolutely necessary. If customers must travel, they should check before they travel using journey planners, which are expected to be up to date on Tuesday 30 April. From Wednesday 8 to Saturday 11 May, the overtime ban will again mean a revised service across the SWR net - work. Engineering work will also take place on Saturday 11, with a line closure between Ascot and Reading and altered train services in the Ash and Havant areas. Customers should check before travelling. Journey planners for Wednesday 8 through to Saturday 11 are expected to be up to date on Saturday 4 May.
