desire to increase capacity to deal with the changes to our domestic purchasing habits, and our OEM clients con- tinued to place new roll orders on us at a record pace. To deal with this challenge, as a supplier, manufacturing all its own steel cores, we invested in a new state of the art 5M Mazak CNC turning center in our Walton, Kentucky, plant to assist with our capability and capacity. In addition, we added a new ALE 3.5M laser in Batavia, to give them a compliment of three high production lasers, this laser hav- ing to be installed and commissioned by ourselves due to travel restrictions imposed on our suppliers. “Our salesforce was once again able to visit our clients and assist in anilox specification discussions, particularly for those clients embarking on their journey with inside/ outside converting equipment, and after the prior year of little in-plant contact, we carried out close to a thousand of our Anilox Audit’s to assess the state of the anilox on-press and be able to guide clients on their purchasing decisions. “It was good to see all our clients, both the Independent and the Integrated sector, along with our valued co-suppli- ers at SuperCorr in Orlando in August despite the heat and humidity, and this show where we shared a booth with our sister company Absolute again reaffirmed our position as the premier supplier to the Corrugated Industry. “Looking in to 2022 we see headwinds in the market but are very mindful of the challenges the ‘new’ world has in store for us. We see the primary obstacle as the continued labor shortage for ourselves and our clients, coupled with the shortage and increase in price of essen- tial raw materials and supplies. The strategic positioning of our manufacturing locations will assist our clients in holding transportation costs to the lowest possible levels; with facilities in California, Illinois, Georgia and New Jer- sey, we are positioned in the heart of the main centers of converting and printing.
