Michael Nugent Ltd MEP works are making swift progress on site at the Queen’s University Belfast Student Union for main contractor Felix O’Hare. The Michael Nugent team is providing the MEP services and BIM Level 2 with the model completed to LOD 5 design services for the new student centre. The £30m redevelopment of the
landmark project will transform the student hub with modern facilities supporting student life. Michael Nugent Ltd is using MMC, DFMA, off-site fabrication and lean construction techniques for this first- class project delivery. Designing, planning, manufacturing and the pre-assembly of components prior
to arriving on site offer many benefits for the project. The pre-fabricated units are stored in Michael Nugent’s factory, tested and commissioned before they arrive on site to provide the highest quality service by its experienced team of engineers and technicians. It is expected the iconic Student Union will be ready next year for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Dungannon-based specialist paving and building products company, AG has welcomed several new recruits to its growing workforce. Patrick Boylan joins as Area Sales Manager in the Republic of Ireland. Patrick will be operating on the east-side of the Republic of Ireland and will be responsible for managing the sales of paving, facing brick, and retaining walls in this territory. He will mostly be dealing with main contractors,
professional pavers, and engineers. Brittani Shears has joined as Regional Sales Manager for the Midlands, South West and South Wales. Steven Curley joins as new Supply Chain Stock Controller and Laura Cassells as HR Business Partner. Tom Givans has joined as HSEQ Manager with Lawrence Murdock as Business Development Manager (Roads and Civils Products). Margaret Cunningham joins as Head
of Retail Sales. Margaret will be responsible for achieving the sales forecasts for the Outside Rooms division and will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing the overall sales and marketing strategy for the business.
