Control unit recharge
Recarga de la unidad de control Para recargar la unidad de control, será necesario conectar un extremo del cable USB - tipo C» a la centralita (Fig. 01) y el otro extremo a una fuente de alimentación (Fig. 02). La recarga del aparato se señaliza mediante el encendido de los indicadores LED verdes. El aparato estará completamente cargado cuando todos los indicadores LED estén iluminados en verde fijo (Fig. 03).

Ricarica dell’unità di controllo Per ricaricare l’unità di controllo sarà necessario collegare un’estremità del cavo “USB – type C” all’unità di controllo (Fig. 01) e l’altra estremità ad una fonte di alimentazione (Fig. 02). L’azione di ricarica del dispositivo viene segnalata dall’accensione degli indicatori led di colore verde. Il dispositivo sarà completamente carico quando tutti gli indicatori led saranno accesi, di colore verde fisso (Fig. 03).

Battery charge status indication
Battery charge levels The led indicators on the control unit will show green if the device is charged, according to 5 charge levels ranging from 100% to 5% (Fig.01). Below 5% charge, the first led indicator (Fig.02) will flash red, signaling the imminent shutdown of the device.

Turning the device ON

Turning on the device Connect the LED spotlight to the control unit by plugging the spotlight’s USB-C cable into the appropriate connector (Fig. 01). Then press and hold the ON/OFF button for at least 2 seconds to turn on the spotlight (Fig. 02). The LED indicators on the control unit will light blue to indicate the brightness level of the LED (Fig. 03).

ATTENZIONE: Segnale di errore In fase di accensione del dispositivo l’errore verrà segnalato da 3 indicatori led rossi (Fig. 01) nel caso in cui: - L’unità di controllo fosse scollegata dal LED o dall’alimentatore; - L’unità di controllo fosse collegata al LED in modo non corretto o si presentasse una anomalia; - L’unità di controllo fosse collegata all’alimentatore in modo non corretto o si presentasse una anomalia.

Light intensity level indication Once the Headlight is turned on, the LED indicators on the control unit (Fig. 01) will light blue, signaling the level of LED light intensity.

Switch function
Switching from luminous Intensity to Charge Status With the device switched on, it is possible to switch from the indication of the luminous intensity to that of the battery charge status by quickly pressing the ON/OFF button (Fig. 01).

Livelli di intensità luminosa L a luce emessa dal LED è regolabile secondo 5 livelli di intesità grazie ai tasti meno (–) e più (+). Ad ogni click del tasto meno (–) il livello di intensità luminosa si abbasserà gradualmente fino ad un minimo di 1 (Fig. 01). Al contrario invece ad ogni click del tasto più (+) il livello di luminosità aumenterà gradualmente fino ad un massimo di 5 (Fig. 02).

The light emitted by the LED can be adjusted according to 5 levels of intensity using the minus (-) and plus (+) buttons. Each time the minus (-) key is clicked, the light intensity level will gradually decrease to a minimum of 1 (Fig. 01). On the contrary, with each click of the plus (+) key, the brightness level will gradually increase up to a maximum of 5 (Fig. 02).
Das von der LED ausgestrahlte Licht kann mit den Tasten Minus (-) und Plus (+) in 5 Intensitätsstufen eingestellt werden.Mit jedem Klick auf die Minustaste (–) wird die Lichtstärke bis zur kleinsten Stufe 1 immer schwächer (Abb. 01). Light intensity level memorization The brightness level selected before switching off the device will be memorised and re-proposed when turned on again (Fig. 01).

Led headlight fastening to the universal or custom adapter After attaching the adapter to the loupes, attach the LED headlight to the adapter using the magnet. The operation can be performed in the same way on both the universal and the custom adapter.

Led adjustment
Adjusting the LED We advise you to adjust the inclination of the LED headlight so that the light spot illuminates the field of view, acting on the joint of the magnetic coupling and on the joint of the LED headlight. Once the correct position has been established (Fig.01), we suggest you tighten the screws (Fig.02) using the Allen key (included in the package).
Regolazione del LED È consigliabile regolare l’inclinazione del LED in modo che lo spot di luce illumini il campo visivo, agendo sullo snodo dell’adattatore magnetico e sullo snodo della testa LED. Una volta stabilita la corretta posizione (Fig.01), si suggerisce di serrare le viti (Fig.02) utilizzando la chiave a brugola (inclusa nella confezione).

To avoid hindrances caused by the LED cable during its use, we recommend you fasten it through the cable glands to the frame of your loupes (for more information download the quick guide dedicated to your Loupes at the page www.univetloupes. com/userguide). In addition, you can also use the cable holder clip, included in the product, to avoid cable movement during operation.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS Disconnect the LED from all components of the system (magnifying system, Control Unit) before cleaning. Use a microfiber cloth to clean the lens. The LED can be cleaned with a soft cloth soaked with a gentle detergent solution. Do not immerse or spray any components into or with detergents and other liquids. This device cannot be sterilised. Read the following warnings carefully before using the device. Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in fire, electric shock, injury or damage to the LED lighting system or to other property. Do not use the device if it has been damaged. Contact your authorised dealer. Do not tamper with or disassemble any component of the system. Do not attempt any repairs unless expressly indicated. The Lynx device has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery, which cannot be replaced or disassembled by the user or by unauthorized personnel. The battery must be replaced and disassembled exclusively by personnel authorized by Univet. Do not try to change the battery by yourself: improper substitution or the use of wrong spare part can cause risk of explosion. Do not expose the device to conditions that could ignite the battery. Avoid contact with heat sources or open flames. Do not use in spaces with flammable anesthetic mixtures. Do not immerse any component in liquid substances. Prevent liquid substances from entering the slots or the connection port. Do not look directly at the light emitted by the LED or direct the light to the patient’s eyes. Use the supplied components only: do not combine the components of the system with other lighting systems or electronic equipment. Use only the power supply if supplied or compliant with technical specifications indicated in this information note. Avoid sudden movements with your head when using the device. Avoid walking with the device worn. In the event of a malfunction, stop using the device. If mounted correctly, the device must not come into contact with the user’s skin. Clean the device before use. When charging with adaptor, the socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible as the power supply plug allows you to disconnect the device from the mains supply. PRECAUTIONS Before operating the device it is recommended to fully charge it, waiting for all green LEDs on the Control Unit to light indicating that it is fully charged. When not in use, store the device in its container. Pay attention to your posture during prolonged use of the device in combination with Univet loupes. ADVERSE EFFECTS No adverse effects detected. SUPPLY MODE This device is not supplied sterile. This is not a single use device.o. STORAGE AND/OR HANDLING Store the device at the temperatures and humidity indicated in the “Technical Specifications” section. When not in use, store the cleaned device in its original packaging, disconnecting the Control Unit from LED. MAINTENANCE Clean the device as described in the “cleaning instructions” section. Keep the original packaging required for return/maintenance shipment and contact your authorised dealer. CONTROINDICAZIONI Il dispositivo è controindicato nel caso di: - Pazienti ipersensibili alla luce; - Applicazioni che richiedono una stabilità dell’illuminazione non ottenibile con dispositivi montati sulla testa dell’utilizzatore.
