“The course is accredited by CIOB and this was a great opportunity to encourage student membership, with all the associated benefits of being part of the leading professional body in construction. Feedback from students shows that they clearly enjoyed the event and were impressed by the speakers. We look forward to continued collaboration with CIOB.” Experts including Tomorrow’s Leaders Champions Ashley Roberts MCIOB, Andrew Purdy MCIOB, Yvonne Conway MCBIOB and Nouman Qadir MCIOB shared their own personal stories and wisdom on how to forge a meaningful and successful career within the construction sector. Andrew Purdy added, “The event was well attended by both students and professionals and thanks go to the efforts of Julie Fitzsimmons (Member Services and Events Coordinator Northern Ireland at CIOB) and Mark Hamill (Ulster University).” The students gained a brilliant all-round understanding of different roles and different levels within the construction industry including from Andrew Purdy who gave great insight on his role as Project Manager working on a major project in Belfast.
