N orthern Ireland’s first hometel, room2 Belfast, represented a high-profile, large-scale project for Loughview Timber, which delivered a full internal joinery package. Among notable features of its package were a high-spec fire and security door from the firm’s Firesec range for apartment entrance doors throughout the building. All Loughview Timber’s fire doors are fully Q-Mark certified under the BM TRADA UKAS-accredited fire certification scheme. Also included in the package were fire-rated internal glazed screens, skirting, architrave and window board used throughout the nine-floor building. Decky O’Dowd, Operations Manager, said, “As one of the newest modern- build hotels in Northern Ireland, this was
a high-profile, large-scale project for Loughview Timber. It offered the business an opportunity to showcase our products and services to an ever-expanding client base.” The project also

Founded in 2009 on the shores of Kernan Lough, outside Gilford, Loughview
offered opportunity for a further collaboration with main contractor Ganson.
