TUNNEL OF HOPE

Schneider speaks about a stretch of road in his town where there are trees on either side. The branches stretch out over the top of the road and create a tunnel, nicknamed the Tunnel of Trees. To honor his late son, Schneider started an organization called the Tunnel of Hope in order to combat addiction and the adverse effects of big pharmaceutical companies. After the success of Netflix’s documentary, Schneider planned to speak at many pharmaceutical school commencement speeches. But due to COVID-19, they were canceled. However, in March, Schneider will be a keynote speaker at an event for the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). Additionally, on April 5, 2021, Schneider will be speaking at the RX Summit in Nashville; he encourages anyone interested to visit www. rx-summit.com for more details. Schneider is also developing other projects to bring attention to the opioid crisis, but details cannot be given at this time. He wants to motivate the public to take action against the crisis. “I won a lot of battles in the past, but I did not win the war. The war is still going on and I will continue to fight,” Schneider added, believing that there is always more to do to stop the epidemic. Toward the end of Netflix’s The Pharmacist,
