MOSO® Bamboo Thermo®
Thermo® has a rich chocolate color resulting from thermal modification at 392 ℉ , removing all the sugars & moisture content. Due to this thermal modification process, Thermo® is highly dimensionally stable & has high insect & fire resistance. Thermo® has a reversible profile allowing for design flexibility with a smooth flat side & a reeded side for improved traction or an interesting design element. Thermo® requires no annual maintenance, however cleaning with Messmer’s Hardwood Deck Cleaner is recommended. If not, it will weather naturally to a silvery gray (like other exotic hardwoods).

MOSO® Bamboo N-durance®
MOSO® Bamboo Products are 30% harder compared to other exotic hardwoods and roughly 4X harder than other thermally modified timber.
N-durance® has a warm, amber color. To achieve this color, thermal modification, using a steam-pressure treatment, is at 284 ℉ . This process leaves more of the natural bamboo which can be susceptible to mildew in certain climates, similar to other hardwoods. N-durance® decking has a "rain-shed" profile with a slightly cambered surface. Shedding water extends periods between maintenance and keeps N-durance® looking cleaner longer. N-durance® is pre-oiled with WOCA Exterior oil (Color: Teak) to enhance the caramel color and provide protection from environmental factors. N-durance® does require annual maintenance (cleaning & re-oiling) to maintain the caramel color.
Achieves a Class-A fire rating without the addition of fire retardant chemicals.
Asymmetric clips hold deck boards in place & almost eliminates face screwing boards.
72" and 96" long end-matched boards can be seamed on joist with 12", 18" or 24" OC framing. Or, 16" OC & seam off-joist.
