IV. Key Settlements In EEOC-Initiated Litigation The top ten settlements in EEOC-Initiated lawsuits totaled nearly $19 million in 2023.

1. $6.88 million – EEOC v. Scripps Clinical Medical Group (EEOC Dec. 19, 2023) (following an agency investigation, the company agreed to a settlement resolving claims that it discriminated against doctors on the basis of their age in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act). 2. $2.4 million – EEOC v. Lilly USA LLC , Case No. 22-CV-1882 (S.D. Ind. Oct. 10, 2023) (consent order entered resolving a lawsuit alleging that the company failed to hire workers on the basis of their age in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act). 3. $2 million – EEOC v. AMTCR, Inc., Case No: 21-CV-1808 (D. Nev. Jan 5, 2023) (consent order entered resolving a lawsuit alleging that the company failed to investigate allegations of sexual harassment by one of its managers to several female employees). 4. $1.75 million – EEOC v. Scottsdale Healthcare Hospitals , Case No. 20-CV- 1894 (D. Ariz. Sept. 15, 2023) (consent order entered resolving a lawsuit alleging
