Pictorial endpapers and many black and white drawings. A very good copy indeed, with a touch of browning to the spine and a gift inscription to the front blank, but unusually clean and crisp. Rowling to the title page, “To Monica, with love from J. K. Rowling”, and with the author’s hologram to the title page also. Publisher’s pictorial boards in the pictorial dustwrapper. With the promotional material and ephemera from “J. K. Rowling And The Moonlight Signing” at the Natural History Museum, 21st July 2007, including: The original event ticket, bookmark, stickers, puzzle sheet, audiobook flyer, large pro - motional poster, and event instructions, all housed in the original orange goody bag. A fine copy in a fine dustwrapper. [40779] £3,500 The “Moonlight Signing” was the only UK promotional event that J. K. Rowling undertook for the publication of the final instalment of the Harry Potter series. The event was attended by only 500 fans who each would be able to have their free copy of the book inscribed, and represented the only public opportunity to have a first edition signed by Rowling. PROVENANCE: Inscribed by J. K. Rowling at “J. K. Rowling And The Moonlight Signing” at the Natural History Museum, with related ephemera.

SPECIALLY BOUND COPY WITH ORIGINAL WATERCOLOUR 62. RACKHAM, Arthur THE COMPLEAT ANGLER by Izaak Walton Or The Contem- plative Man’s Recreation. With an introduction by Henry Williamson. Harrap, 1931. First edition. 4to. Special edition, number two of approximately 10 copies specially bound with an original watercolour by Rackham. Finely bound for the publisher in full crimson levant morocco by Sangorski and Sutcliffe, with raised bands to the spine and Rackham designed piscatorial vignettes to spine compartments and the corners of each cover. Marbled endpapers, top edge gilt others uncut. Signed by Rackham on the limitation page and opposite is a fine original drawing in ink, watercolour and wash, depicting Walton sitting down in an inn, about to be served his fish supper by a barmaid. Twelve colour plates under captioned tissue guards and numerous black and white drawings. A fine copy, bright and crisp with the binding exceptionally well preserved. [40329] £22,500 This book is one of nine or ten copies of an extra special edition, which is finely bound and con - tains a unique original watercolour. Copies of Rackham’s books with original watercolours rarely come onto the market nowadays.
