About three-fifths (59.9%) of all respondents feel that crime is of concern in their neighborhood, however the level of concern seems to decrease with age with respondents in their 50s and 60s expressing more concern (63.7% and 66.3%, respectively) and respondents in their 90s expressing somewhat less but considerable concern (43.2%). Similarly, while close to half of all respondents felt traffic safety was a concern, the percentage was highest among respondents in their 50s (54.3%) and less for respondents in their 80s (37.7%).
