the event that the parents belong to two different churches, both of which are fundamental, the children should probably be allowed to go where they are going to find the best fellowship and opportunity for spiritual growth. Q. Oakland, Calif. — “When did Christ become God? Was it at birth, or was it gradually as He grew in physical stature?” A. This is a theological question which has been debated for cen turies. We believe that Jesus Christ was God at the time of conception, because He was born of the Holy Spirit. He was God incarnate when He was conceived. At birth, He was an ordinary child from a physical and mental point of view. He limit ed Himself. He grew in wisdom and stature as well as in favor with God and man. We believe that, somehow, from the time He was able to think and reason at all He knew that He (Continued from page 2) OTHER STATES Albuquerque, New Mexico KARA 1310 8:00 A.M.MTWTF Caldwell-Boise

swered according to our desires, our faith in God will not be shaken, but rather will be strengthened. Q. Battleground, Wash. — "When the Israelites made their departure from Egypt, we are told in Exodus 12:38 that they had flocks and herds and even very much cattle. Why was it then that they had no meat and the Lord had to send quails to feed them?” A. They had to have the animals, as Exodus 10:9 points out, for they were to be used for sacrifices in the worship of the Lord. The Israelites were in the wilderness 38 years and this required a great deal for the tabernacle ministry. The reason for the quail was God’s marvelous provi sion for a variety in their diet. In a sense, it was also a result of dis obedience for the people wanted something God had not yet given to them. Remember this, if your heart is set on some material thing, God may just permit you to have it, but as a result you may be spiritually impoverished thereby. How well the Psalmist puts it, “He gave them their request; but sent leanness unto their soul” (Psa. 106:15). Q. Seattle, Wash. — “My wife and I belong to churches of different de nominations, but our children favor my church. This is causing trouble in our home. Can you tell me how to settle this?” A. We would need to know more of the details of the churches to give you a proper suggestion and cate gorical answer. If one church is mod ernistic where there is a denial of the infallibility of the Word of God and other cardinal doctrines, for the sake of the children, allow them to go where the Bible is believed and where Jesus Christ is preached in all of His beauty, glory and atoning majesty. This is in spite of what your own personal views may be. In
