Carcass Weight We emphasize the carcass weight EPD. We feel like carcass weight is the most honest measurement of an animals yearling potential. If you really dig into the data, generally as birthweight goes up so does carcass weight and red meat yield. In the next three to five years the way they measure carcass yield is going to change and those that plan ahead with their genetic purchases will be rewarded.
