THENS, GA — Land- mark Properties has expanded its partner- ship with Best Buddies In- ternational to launch four new “Best Buddies Living” programs at The Legacy at Ann Arbor (University of Michigan), The Standard at Austin (UT Austin), The Stan- dard at Tallahassee (FSU), and The Station State Col- lege (Penn State) ahead of the 2026-2027 academic year. Best Buddies International is the world’s largest nonprofit devoted solely to providing opportunities for friendship, A
“inclusive living” pillar. The program alleviates the lack of inclusive, independent housing options for individuals with IDD and fosters an integrated experience for them to become active, contributing citizens who live independently in a dy- namic environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive. To-date, Best Buddies Living has 150 residents living at 17 apartment communities near large colleges and universities across the country. Best Buddies Living is re- cruiting for the last spots at its Austin, Ann Arbor, State Col-
lege, and Tallahassee locations. “We are proud to support the Best Buddies Living pro- gram, a unique way to provide an inclusive living environ- ment and give back to the communities we serve,” said Rob Dinwiddie , executive VP marketing and manage- ment services at Landmark Properties. “Landmark’s well- appointed, amenity rich, and centrally located communities are an ideal fit for the program. This partnership allows resi- dents with IDD to embrace in- dependent living while gaining access to jobs and opportunities for socialization.” Best Buddies Living resi- dents 18 years+ live together in an inclusive and supportive community where young adults can grow and thrive. Land- mark works with Best Buddies Living to find available, right- sized apartments for residents at its properties in communi- ties where the organization has housing needs; it also supports the expansion of the program by allocating apartments at properties under construction or coming to market. “We are thrilled to expand our Best Buddies Living program to Landmark’s properties in Ann Arbor, Austin, Tallahassee, and State College,” said Holly Goshin , senior director of Best Buddies Living. “Land- mark has been a supportive, reliable advocate for us. Its connection with properties in college towns is attractive to Best Buddies – for expansion purposes and resident job opportunities as well as the recruitment of roommates.” All of Landmark’s com- munities feature modern fin - ishes, in-unit laundry, and a comprehensive amenity pack- age.
