Ecosystems also drive inclusivity, providing better guidance that lowers barriers to entry and makes tness accessible to more people. And they make the sector more professional, absorbing complexity on behalf of the operator while simultaneously giving them better visibility and more control. This includes access to improved data, which enables more sophisticated interventions across the full member lifecycle in and outside of the gym – something that’s far more continuous and complex than a series of isolated touchpoints. How can ecosystems support the health agenda? If the tness sector wants to be taken seriously by healthcare stakeholders, it must move beyond good intentions to deliver structured, measurable, scalable outcomes. And Ecosystems – combining connected training, AI-driven personalisation and platforms such as EGYM Wellpass/Hussle – make that possible. Crucially, this is not just a premium story. If tness is to play a meaningful role in public health, these capabilities need to scale broadly. If we get this right, tness becomes more than a service. We become infrastructure for prevention. We move from being an industry that offers activity to an industry that delivers outcomes. We aren’t just part

of the health conversation – we help redene it. This is where the long-term signicance of our industry lies and it’s what excites me personally. Because for the rst time, the technology is catching up with the ambition – and EGYM is leading the way. We are convinced that tness can become one of the most scalable prevention platforms globally, which is why our mission is to shift healthcare from repair to prevention. We are now in a position to actually build that. Our recent merger with Playlist is an important step in this direction: by combining connected training, AI-driven personalisation and global consumer platforms, we can connect the entire end-to-end consumer journey – from discovery and booking to training and long-term health outcomes – into one integrated operating system. This is something the tness industry has been missing for a long time. What comes next? Over the next 12 months, industry focus will shift from vision to execution. We will see more integrated systems in the market combining hardware, software and AI by design. Over the next ve years, the winners will not be dened by individual products. They will be dened by who controls the system – who delivers the most intelligent, integrated, outcomes-driven experience. This is becoming a systems competition.
