exercise. When they take GLP-1s, their mindset and readiness begin to change: we’re seeing a lot of new people coming into our facilities. Then you look at the numbers. Very conservative estimates suggest there are currently 2.5 million people in the UK on GLP-1s. Once the pill format arrives in the UK, I can easily see that number reaching 10 million – around 20 per cent of the adult population. The key lies in how we support these individuals within our centres. But I rmly believe that if, rather than resisting, our industry were to acknowledge GLP-1s as an opportunity, it could be a game changer for us all. How is Everyone Active approaching GLP- s? There are two big challenges with GLP-1 use: nutritional de cit and loss of muscle mass. We’ve built in support around both. We provide nutritional guidance through our partner Nutrable, with everything from webinars to one-to-one support. The goal here is to educate members on how to achieve a healthy diet even with a calorie de cit. We also offer training programmes designed speci cally to maintain and build lean muscle – because it is muscle mass that will help people avoid putting weight straight back on again at the end of their GLP-1 journey. All of this is included in our You+ membership, which we continue to evolve and grow. Going beyond traditional tness to bring together digital, physical and wellbeing support, You+ still includes Health Hero as well as access to all the expert content created for us by Oli Patrick and Dr Vanessa Moulton – and now also GLP-1 support. In terms of offering for the price tag, the value of You+ is huge. This is a high-quality, genuinely differentiated product that over 65,000 of our members – around 15 per cent of our total member base – have already signed up to. We’re targeting 25 per cent and are very con dent of achieving that.
