I’ve been back in this glorious property for around seven months now. I helped create Oddfellows over 16 years ago, and I’m back to restore it to what it was always meant to be — an eccentric, characterful place where you can be whomever you want to be and good times are all that matter. Over the past few months, my amazing team (and I) have been working hard behind the scenes — smartening things up, pouring in a lot of love, and creating a safe, inclusive space to celebrate love, friendship, and happiness in all their forms. However you choose to enjoy the Springtime in Chester, Oddfellows is the place to be. We can’t wait to welcome you up the magic staircase and into the madness. With love, Izzy x

Smile and Say Cheese! For Cheshire Day Every year on Cheshire Day (30th March), we proudly shine a spotlight on the incredible local makers and suppliers who help shape the Oddfellows experience. At Oddfellows Chester, celebrating Cheshire isn’t just a date in the diary — it’s part of who we are. From passionate producers and creative artisans to flavour-obsessed foodies and craft drinks makers, we love championing the people right on our doorstep who care deeply about quality, provenance, and doing things properly. Cheshire Day gives us the perfect excuse to raise a glass, share their stories, and say a heartfelt thank you to a few of our very favourites — the local legends who bring character, creativity, and a little bit of magic to everything we do. www.visitcheshire.com/locations/cheshire-day
DAVID JOINSON QUALITY MEATS The Oddfellows team has proudly worked alongside multi-award-winning local butcher David Joinson for many years. David and his exceptional team share our passion for great food and are always on hand to advise, collaborate, and get just as excited as we do when it comes to menu planning. Together, we create truly special celebratory dishes — the kind that bring family and friends together around the table and turn moments into memories. David is not only a trusted partner of Oddfellows, but a true champion of food across Chester, Cheshire, and North Wales. More than a supplier, David is a friend, a collaborator, and very much a part of the Oddfellows foodie family. www.facebook.com/DavidJoinsonQM

WEETWOOD BREWERY & DISTILLERY We’re also proud to work with Weetwood, a multi-award-winning brewery and distillery based right here in Cheshire. Independent, family-owned and family-run, their ethos mirrors our own — from caring for their people and community to minimising environmental impact. At their purpose-built, sustainable site, Weetwood brew a carefully crafted range of permanent beers alongside seasonal specials and one-off creations, and distil their own premium spirits from grain. It’s this dedication to quality, creativity, and craftsmanship that makes their beers and spirits the perfect match for the Oddfellows experience. Together, we believe great drinks add to the enjoyment of life — and we’re delighted to share them with you. www.weetwoodales.co.uk

THE CHEESE WEDGE At Oddfellows Chester, we’re passionate about working with brilliant local producers who share our love of flavour, quality, and doing things right. One such favourite is The Cheese Wedge. A true purveyor of quality cheeses, The Cheese Wedge champions provenance, craftsmanship, and exceptional taste. Their carefully curated selections celebrate both classic favourites and more adventurous finds, all chosen with care and knowledge. They also create wedding cheese cakes made to order — a stunning (and delicious) alternative to tradition. Layered with characterful cheeses and finished with thoughtful detail, they’re designed to be shared, talked about, and thoroughly enjoyed. Pair them with their beautifully matched chutneys, jams, and marmalades, and you’ve got something truly special. Our partnership is built on shared values: supporting local producers, respecting ingredients, and believing that great food should bring people together. It’s a genuine foodie friendship, and one we’re very proud to celebrate at Oddfellows. www.facebook.com/TheCheeseWedgeChesterMarket

THREE WRENS GIN DISTILLERY In the market town of Nantwich, three friends set out with a simple idea: make gin properly, with care, curiosity, and character. Today, Three Wrens Gin continues to do exactly that — crafting small- batch gins built on bold botanicals, thoughtful experimentation, and a deep respect for flavour. At Oddfellows Chester, we’re proud to pour their spirits behind the bar. It’s a partnership rooted in shared values: championing local makers, celebrating provenance, and believing that great drinks should tell a story. From the first sip to the final flourish, Three Wrens brings a sense of place, passion, and personality to every glass — and we wouldn’t have it any other way. www.threewrensgin.com

WILD FLOWER DESIGN Just beneath our feet — quite literally — sits one of our most loved partners, Wild Floral Design. With their beautiful shop located directly below Oddfellows Chester, it’s only natural that we’ve grown more than just neighbourly fondness. Their flowers are always stunning — thoughtful, seasonal, and full of personality — but it’s the team that truly makes them special. Always welcoming, always smiling, and always up for a friendly chat (especially when the conversation turns to our resident ghost, Joseph…), they bring warmth and creativity to everything they do. From everyday blooms to unforgettable wedding florals, Wild Floral Design shares our love of beauty, storytelling, and a little bit of magic — making them not just a supplier, but a cherished part of the Oddfellows family. www.wildfloraldesign.uk

Imported Beer & Local Legends
At Oddfellows, serving great-quality beer is an important part of the experience, with a thoughtfully selected range that combines well-known international names with excellent local brews. Guests can enjoy crisp, refreshing imported lagers such as Warsteiner and Super Bock, both recognised for their clean, balanced flavours and heritage brewing. Alongside these are regional favourites including Weetwood IPA, offering a bold, hop-forward profile, and the iconic Wrexham Lager, known for its refreshing character. Together, the range reflects Oddfellows’commitment to quality, variety, and showcasing great beer, whether you’re stopping by for a casual drink or settling in for the evening.
WARSTEINER IS NOW ON DRAUGHT. Imported from Germany, Adopted by Oddfellows. At Oddfellows, good taste never goes out of style—and Warsteiner fits right in. This classic imported German lager pours a bright golden hue with a crisp snap, gentle malt sweetness, and a clean, refreshing hop finish that keeps things effortlessly drinkable. Smooth, balanced, and full of old-world character, it’s the kind of beer that feels just as right for a casual pint as it does for a long night of laughs and late rounds. Served ice- cold behind the bar, Warsteiner brings timeless German brewing tradition to the Oddfellows experience—no fuss, just really good beer.

LOCAL IPA, LEGENDARY FISH & CHIPS Poured with pride at Oddfellows Chester, Weetwood Ales IPA is a local favourite that knows how to show up for the occasion. Bursting with bright hop aroma, gentle citrus notes, and a clean, balanced finish, it’s refreshing without being overpowering—exactly how we like it. Even better, it’s an absolute dream alongside our Fish & Chips: the hops cut beautifully through the golden batter, while the crisp bitterness stands up to mushy peas, curry sauce, and classic tartar like a pro. One pint, one plate, zero regrets. That’s an Oddfellows pairing done right.

CHESTER CATHEDRAL Spring 2026 brings a varied and atmospheric programme of events to Chester Cathedral, combining classical music, choral tradition, and contemporary performances within its historic setting. March opens with candlelit classical concerts that transform the cathedral into an intimate performance space, including Vivaldi’s Four Seasons alongside Grieg’s Piano Concerto. Later in the month, large-scale choral works such as Mozart’s Requiem are performed by visiting music societies, filling the nave with powerful sound and drama. Throughout April, the focus turns to the cathedral’s rich musical heritage, with regular choral services, organ recitals, and special musical worship forming the backbone of the programme. These quieter events offer visitors the chance to experience the cathedral at a reflective, unhurried pace.
