And now her latest title—that of Kohler Cast Iron Ambassador—will see her continue educating the public in the art of living well. Kohler traces its history with cast iron all the way back to 1883, when founder John Michael Kohler transformed a cast- iron horse trough into the company’s first enameled bath. Today, Kohler’s enameled cast-iron collection includes baths, shower bases, and kitchen sinks in a variety of styles. And the company’s Chair and CEO David Kohler says Stewart is the ideal individual to help share its enduring story: “Martha Stewart personifies quality, design, and what it means to live a gracious lifestyle. Stewart—who describes herself as a cast iron devotee— seems excited by the synergy. “It’s such a pleasure to partner with the innovative minds at Kohler to bring awareness to the variety and depth of their enameled cast-iron offerings,” Stewart shares. “I have been a proponent of enameled cast iron for de- cades, all throughout the home, and look forward to sharing my passion for the material with the world and helping others dis- cover its beauty, strength, and lasting value—especially through the lens of the category leader Kohler.” ■
