SGP Partners With Sports & Sustainability Symposium The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) has formed a community partnership with Green Sports Alliance’s upcoming event, St. Louis Sports & Sustainability Symposium.The event is being held on August 21 at the St. Louis Cardinal’s Busch Stadium. The St. Louis Sports & Sustainability Symposium convenes regional professional and collegiate sports teams and venues, concessionaires, business and pub- lic leaders, and athletes to explore how the industry can advance healthier, more sustainable communities. The Green Sports Alliance is the environmentally-fo- cused trade organization that convenes stakeholders from around the sporting world (teams, leagues, con- ferences, venues, corporate partners, governmental agencies, athletes, and fans) to promote healthy, sus- tainable communities. Green Sports Alliance is com- mitted to creating awareness and dedicated to creating meaningful change toward a more sustainable future.
The LMAI label conference took place from July 25-27, welcoming 600 delegates from all over India and various parts of the world attending this biennial conference. It was held at the Grand Hyatt in Bolgatty Island. Amit Sheth of Label Planet and Intergraphic,was pre- sented a lifetime award for contribution to the Indian Label Industry. Past President Vivek Kapoor’s welcome address was followed by a presentation by Manoj KM and Parag Bagade of Avery Dennison.While Manoj spoke on fu- turistic labelstock offerings, Parag spoke on the sus- tainability endeavors byAvery Dennison,including col- lection and recycling of liner and self-adhesive waste. Two interactive panel discussions were moderat- ed by LMAI Board member Harveer Sahni of Weldon Celloplast. The first one featured label printers, with the topic, Creating the future vs embracing the fu- ture . Panelists included Priyata Raghavan Sai Security Printers,Tejas Tanna of Printmann,Aaditya Kashyap of Marksfine,Mahendra Shah of Renault Paper, Shakti Jain of Great Eastern IDTech, Yudhviram Solanki of Sicon Packs and Anurag Mohan of Interact.
