Places of Denver LONE TREE ARTS CENTER

T he Lone Tree Arts Center is where a community can gath- er. With a mix of presenting theatrical shows, internationally-known artists, and programs for all ages, the center is happy to be celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2026. Their mission is to produce and present remarkable professional arts experienc- es, prioritize the patron experience, and create arts engagement opportunities for children, seniors, and other under- served communities. Besides their many events, the Lone Tree Arts Center is proud to be able to provide many programs to the com- munity. From their Seedlings program helping preschool-aged kids get in the door and practice movement and music, to their well-known sensory-inclusive programs, to their SPARK! Alliance programs for people experiencing mild memory loss, early-stage Alzheimer’s, or

a related dementia and their family and friends, the center has something for everyone. “We really believe that the arts are for everybody, and everybody should be able to participate however they’re comfort- able,” says Leigh Chandler, the executive director at Lone Tree Arts Center. “We want to make sure that people feel com- fortable when they’re here.” The center also has programs for ele- mentary and middle school students to witness a live performance, for senior adults who don’t want to drive at night to see and learn about art and socialize, for those with Parkinson’s to experience movement and art, and student mati- nees for students to engage in as well. The Lone Tree Arts Center believes that art is a great connector and some- thing that everybody should be able to experience, enjoy, and learn from.

Chandler says many of their programs are family-friendly and family oriented, especially neurodiverse families. Many of the family-friendly offerings include their main stage and holiday events. Every year, there is a holiday movie night, cookie decorating at their event hall, and more geared to children and families. “You’re going to find something here and you’re going to have a great time. We’re incredibly friendly. We’ve got great staff and great ushers, and we just want you to have the best experience here,” says Chandler.
