A successful journey for SUBARU

The Crosstrek urban SUV now rests on the same new platform as the Impreza and boasts a roomier interior and overall better hand- ling than its predecessors. Its Boxer engine is a new 2.0-L direct-injection 4-cylinder. The new X-Mode function (also available with the Outback and Forester) complements Subaru’s symmetrical full-time AWD to im- prove performance on all surfaces, including steep inclines and slippery roads.

The 2018 Legacy and Outback models both showcase style upgrades, and their interior design has been updated with higher quality materials. Comfort and noise reduction have also progressed. The WRX and WRX STI now feature a redesigned grille, 19-inch wheels and electrically controlled Recaro seats, in addition to sportier suspension, braking and AWD systems.

TOYOTA: the wealthiest automaker on the planet

Subaru is having a fairy-tale year so far, and with the redesign of the Impreza and Crosstrek in addition to the partial redesign of the Legacy, Outback, WRX and WRX STI, this success story is far from over. What’s more, a 7-seat SUV is in the works for the near future, as demonstrated by the recently unveiled Ascent concept. The Impreza sedan and hatchback models have been entirely redesigned this year and are now built on an all-new platform whose increased rigidity makes for a quieter, more comfortable drive. The new suspension and lower centre of gravity of the chassis also improve handling on the road. Under the hood sits a 2.0-L, 152-horsepower 4-cylin- der Boxer engine. Compared to the previous powertrain, it develops more linear power while consuming less fuel. The CVT trans- mission was also perfected and now offers a 7-speed manual mode with steering wheel gear shifters. A standard 5-speed gearbox is also available.

What’s more, Toyota has rejuvenated the look of its Sienna and unveiled an all- new C-HR. New arrivals also include the Sequoia TRD Pro and RAV4 Adventure, the lat- ter of which is equipped with a raised suspension and dynamic AWD capabilities. In other news, two models have joined the ranks of Toyota this year: the 86 and the
