Faces & Places Summer 2026

S a andra James Page never ex- pected criminal law to become her calling. In fact, she admits she disliked the subject in law school. But a life-changing experience during her final year of law school set her on a path that would ultimately shape her career and purpose. Today, as managing attorney of the Law Offices of Sandra James Page, Page focuses on criminal defense, represent- ing clients during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Her passion for the work stems from a personal promise she made after being wrongfully arrested while in law school. That experience gave her firsthand insight into the fear, uncertainty, and vulnerability many defendants face. After beginning her career in public defense, Page quickly discovered a passion for helping clients navigate not only the legal system but also the circumstances that brought them there. She built a reputation for taking a hands-on, relationship-driven ap- proach, particularly while working with clients struggling with addiction and other life challenges. “I’m a trauma-informed lawyer,” Page says. “My role is to be an advocate, a guide, and a translator through the legal process.” Known for her compassionate yet direct style, Page believes trust is one of the most important parts of effective representation. She takes time to understand each client’s story, often spending hours building relationships before ever discussing the details of a case. That connection, she says, allows her to advocate more effectively and help clients feel seen and heard. For Page, the most rewarding part of her work is witnessing what happens after a case is resolved. Whether helping someone avoid a life sentence, overcome personal struggles, or move forward with a fresh start, she finds fulfillment in seeing clients rebuild their lives. “I love being able to see the change people want to make,” she says. “When they get a second chance and go on to do something meaningful with it, that’s where I find purpose.” For more information, visit sandra- jamespage.com or call (318) 272-4032.
