F or co-owners Morgan Keller and Kelly Finical, Once Upon A Child is more than a resale store, it’s a way to support families and strengthen the community. Morgan first entered the resale industry as a teenager working for Plato’s Closet be- fore joining Once Upon a Child when the store first opened. As a young mom her- self, she quickly understood the value of affordable children’s clothing and equip- ment. “Kelly and I both just love the idea of resale,” Morgan says. “Kids grow out of things so quickly, and things can be so expensive. Here, the community can sell clothes and buy them at an affordable price.” Today, the locally owned, fami- ly-run store gives parents the chance to sell gently used items for cash or trade them in for the next size, season, or stage of childhood. The store also helps families access higher-end baby gear, clothing, and essentials at a fraction of traditional retail prices. “That’s really what our store is all about…being able to bless mothers who may not be able to go out and buy brand new name brand items. They can come here and dress their children immaculately and at a fraction of the cost,” Kelly shares. Sus- tainability is another important part of the business. By giving children’s items a second life, the store helps keep usable products out of landfills while making
quality items accessible to more families. For more information,
