F or Lauri Pasqua and her team, pet care is about much more than groom- ing. At Splash and Dash Groomerie & Boutique, every member of the staff is committed to building trust, creating relation- ships, and ensuring every dog feels safe, cared for, and loved. After spending 35 years in the insurance industry, Pasqua was searching for a business that offered both purpose and balance. Drawn to her lifelong love of animals, she and her sister explored several franchise opportunities before finding Splash and Dash. The relation- ship-driven model immediately stood out. “What better way to spend your years than playing with dogs?” she says. Today, Pasqua leads a dedicated team that shares her passion for exceptional pet care. Together, they have created a salon culture
centered on safety, compassion, and customer service. From puppies visiting for the first time to senior dogs and pets with behavioral challenges, the staff works collaboratively to provide a calm, welcoming experience for both animals and their owners. That personalized care is what truly sets Splash and Dash apart. The team takes time to communicate with pet parents throughout appointments, reassure anxious owners, and tailor services to each dog’s individual needs. Whether it’s a routine bath, a full groom, or helping a nervous pet feel comfortable, the staff approaches every interaction with patience and understanding. “Their baby is our priority,” Pasqua explains. “We want them to know their dog is safe and cared for the moment they walk through the door.”
ability to work with dogs that may struggle in traditional grooming environments. Rather than forcing stressful experiences, the team focuses on building trust and reducing fear, helping pets gain confidence with each visit. Beyond the salon, Pasqua and her staff are passionate about supporting the Baton Rouge community through partnerships with local rescues and animal organizations. For them, the work is deeply rewarding because it extends beyond grooming. “Every dog has a different personality,” says Pasqua. “You build relationships not only with the pets, but with the families too. That’s what makes this so special.”
