W hat began as a small horse boarding operation has grown into one of the area’s most unique family destina- tions. At Chapple Farms, visitors can experience a working farm filled with animal encounters, educational experiences, and outdoor adventures designed to connect families with nature. Located in Prairieville, the fami- ly-owned farm has evolved over the past several years, expanding from horses to fruit trees, exotic birds, and a growing collection of animals. Today, guests can meet capybaras, mini Highland cows, alpacas, goats, giant tortoises, emus, horses, iguanas, sloths (coming in 2026) and many other animals through guided experiences. Chapple Farms specializes in appointment-based experiences that allow visitors to enjoy a more personal connection with the property and its animals. Guided tours, animal encounters, birthday

parties, and field trips give families an opportunity to learn, explore, and interact in a hands-on environment. The farm also offers seasonal fruit picking, pecan shelling, photography sessions, and educational experi- ences focused on agriculture and animal care. The farm has become a popular destination for schools, photog- raphers, and families looking for memorable experiences close to home. Visitors can stroll through fruit trees, feed animals, and enjoy a peaceful setting that feels miles away from the city while remaining conveniently located in Ascension Parish. With its combination of education, recreation, and hands-on experi- ences, Chapple Farms continues to create opportunities for families to slow down, connect, and make lasting memories together.
