It is an honor for us to be working with the Baldridge family for their 2026 Female Sale. What a great time to be in the Angus business and with breeders like Baldridge Performance Angus it is always exciting to see what they have to offer. This program is a trend setting operation. If you read Angus pedigrees over decades, the Baldridge name is in many. The impact they have had on our industry is impressive. They have built a product that works, but the most important thing is that it is backed by great people. You will not find more accomplished individuals in our breed and this year’s sale will highlight the success of the Baldridge name. Highlighting this year’s offering is the descendent of the history making donor Baldridge Isabel Y69. Her impact on the breed is unmatched. It’s hard to find a cow that has dominated on both the female and bull side and Y69 has done that! Lot 1, Baldridge Isabel L936 is a young, three-year-old Cherry Crk Blue Collar G275 daughter that stems back to Y69. Her phenotypic make up, backed by a great EPD package, makes her a unique female. This sale features donors, bred heifers, cow calf pairs and more, and we hope you can join us for this great event. Jud and Denise Baldridge are wonderful people that we have looked up to for many years. They have built one of the most successful brands and it has been built with customer satisfaction. They want you to succeed. Cattle from Baldridge make their client’s money and they continue to make that possible for you. Our friendship and working relationship goes back many years. Jud, Denise their family and crew are great to work with. Dan Krupicka and Clint Baumeister do an outstanding job and are a huge part of the success of this program. This annual event happens each year during the Nebraskaland Days in North Platte. It is a great event during this sale and it’s a great weekend to be in Nebraska. Please put this on your schedule and join us June 27th in North Platte. It’s a pleasure to work with such great people and cattle, so feel free to contact anyone at Cotton and Associates for questions about the offering. We will be at the sale site to see the cattle and would be glad to help with any questions. We look forward to seeing you in North Platte. Welcome to the Annual Baldridge Summer Event! Life and the purebred Angus cattle business are curious ventures that often mirror themselves as they should. Each program is different with diverse motives, actions and results. I often tell people that I don’t know of a more fluid and changing marketplace than Angus genetics and the exposure of those efforts. Amidst all that, the truth is, the operations that maintain focus, put some blinders on, sort through the chaos and make wise decisions are the ones that move forward and gather market share and branding. You have arrived at such a place as you go through this offering. The Baldridge prefix performs in every region because it tells a story of wonderful humble people that ranch at the highest level of quality and volume. The genetics produced here are a representation of the people as they should be. A mix of humility, competitiveness, elite cow sense and one of the great crews in the business produce an Angus product that will cut a path of success for you, the new owners. The offering is just what the market ordered. Huge and diverse, this offering is center cut from a program that competes and wins in the most competitive cattle country in the world. The balance of kill data and grass data is balanced to ensure your program - purebred or commercial - is sought after and found for your wise decisions on genetics. You will notice the combination and balance of capacity, elite cow families and genetic predictions are in every lot. These females can serve as great foundation for any genetic direction or selection pressure. I have seen them work and perform at the front end of some of the smallest and largest operations in the country. When people see the “Baldridge” prefix at the front end of the animal, they dig into the pedigree and respect the creation of him or her. What more could an owner wish for when going to the marketplace. I usually close with a note about the people, because for me, this whole chaotic venture is about people. One can only pray and hope that at the end of your life our thoughts are not about some cow or bull but the people and relationship those animals brought us. That’s what happened to me with Jud & Denise. If you do get a chance to come and experience this great event with Nebraskaland Days, hopefully, at the end of the trip, these elite genetics offered will lead you to my friends and the true meaning of the Angus cattle business. The People.
