You get to be a part of their lives during some of the biggest changes and transitions they face. From high school to dating relationships to college planning, your students carry a lot of weight on their shoulders. The decisions they make now will influence them long after they are out of your care. These decisions will influence them into their marriages and careers and ultimately into their heavenly purpose. The Bible Institute is a collegiate-level program offering both one and two-year options that focus on educat- ing and preparing students on how to make a difference in their communities and around the world through intensive biblical studies and practical ministry training. By focusing on the three core areas of study, life and ministry, the Bible Institute becomes a place where students deepen their faith and discover their God-given callings. THE WHY BEHIND IT ALL
You might be thinking “Why the Bible Institute?” Today’s generation of students have so many options when planning what to do after high school graduation. But rather than blindly following what everyone else is doing, we want to make sure students are informed and make intentional decisions during this formative time in their lives. It’s true that almost three out of every five students who are young Christians eventually fall away from the church after the age of 15*. The statistics are scary, and they seem to keep getting scarier. That’s what all of us here at the Bible Institute work to keep from happening. We don’t just want students to retain their faith. We want them to build their own meaningful and lasting relationships with the Lord in order to lay a strong foundation of faith that will carry them through the rest of their lives. In many ways, sending your students to the Bible Institute extends your own ministry beyond your local neighborhood and community. You have already sown the seed of faith in these young ones, and now the Bible Institute can help you continue to grow these students and launch them out into the world for the glory of God. Students who complete the Word of Life Bible Institute program go on to reach outstanding achievements and become valuable contributing members of society, whether they stay on the mission field fulltime or pursue professional careers.

NOW THAT YOU KNOW THE HEART AND PASSION BEHIND THE WORD OF LIFE BIBLE INSTITUTE, LET’S COVER SOME OF THE LOGISTICS OF HOW THIS PROGRAM WORKS.
Where are you located? We have Bible Institute campuses in New York and Florida with enrollment at both places open to students from around the world. Can you provide a program overview? The Bible Institute offers two different programs. The First Year Program is designed to help students lay a strong biblical foundation through Bible courses such as Bible Survey Study, Theology, and the study of many individual books of the Bible. First-year students also participate in intensive Bible study, evangelism opportunities and summer ministry assignments. The Second Year Program equips students to take their faith even deeper as they learn, explore and live out ministry while maintaining their biblical foundation from the first year. We believe the Bible is the perfect Word of God without error. In it, we learn the truth about God the Father, our fallen nature, and the life of Jesus Christ—His death and resurrection. We believe the Bible outlines how we gain new life through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice, how we can live in freedom from sin through the Holy Spirit and how we should hope for the return of Christ to set up His Kingdom on this earth. WOLBI prepares students for life’s challenges and victories by building a strong foundation of faith and ministry. These students walk away equipped for their callings with the lifelong support of a biblical community. And that is perhaps the biggest long-term benefit students get from attending WOLBI. No matter where students go after the Bible Institute, the WOLBI community is always at their side. What do students do after WOLBI? Students do many different things following their time at WOLBI. Some complete their degrees and pursue professional careers, others fall in love with certain local or international communities and become full-time missionaries, still others value the mission of WOLBI so much they apply to work on our campus to help create impact in the generations of students that follow after them.

Did you know you can help your students out if they’re interested in Word of Life Bible Institute? We have a special scholarship—the Pastor’s Encouragement Scholarship—students can claim if you recommend them to the Bible Institute before they begin their application. If you have a student who is interested in applying to the Bible Institute, fill out the attached form and return it to the Bible Institute before they begin their application. Upon their acceptance and confirmation, this scholarship of $500 will then be applied toward their tuition! As a church, you can also partner with your young students who wish to attend the Bible Institute by gifting them with a Church Matching Scholarship. We’ll match the scholarship up to $500, giving your student a total of $1000 or more toward tuition! You can also request additional resources such as physical copies of the Viewbook, our financial aid brochure and our college guide for parents to help your teenagers and their families prepare for the transitions ahead.
