THE KING’ S BUSINESS

388 become a radiantly happy Christian and declares that God led her all the way to California that she might find Him. The mother and grandmother who had become cold and indifferent in their Christian pro fession, have been made alive in Him. Their bright, eager faces greet thei Bible woman each week as she stands before her class. The little daughter, also eager for Bible study, has formed a class among her schoolmates and brings them to meet the Bible Woman at the close o f the Women’s Class each week. An enthusiastic new member o f a district Bible Class told the worker the following: “ I had a blue day, not having heard from mother. While getting supper I asked for the Bible, which amused my husband. A T RULY, the “half hath never been told,” and we will never know how much God has been' able to do with the little that we do give him, until we all get to glory and see with our new eyes. God has been very good to us the past month, and we can but look up and give thanks for His wonderful love. W e have many encouraging things we might relate, but as we cannot tell all, we must select something that will be most interesting to you. W e think you will enjoy this: On December IS, 1916 a young man came into the Club and fell down on his knees ‘before God, asking forgiveness. After God had done this, he told us this story: “I have a good job, fine relatives, but booze has had me, for the last five years, and I had just made up my mind to commit suicide. Seeing this place, I came- in, and now I am saved.” He ate Christmas dinner with some of the fellows from the Club, and then worked with us there four or five weeks. Then he made the plea that he had work to do at night, and so we let him go. He came in

letter from my mother fell out, written and slipped into my Bible on her last visit, and it was six months old! But I had my letter. It was so sweet and I was happy again. In it she told me that she had tucked the letter and also a four-leaf clover into the Bible at random, and asked me to read the first verse that met my eye in each place, which I did, the first being, “Watch, for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” The second, the 27th Psalm. Filled with wonder I looked at my husband, who was equally impressed. I wrote mother that the verses were just what I needed and confessed to a Bible unopened in six months. Now I want to study to o !” again last month and said: “Fellows, I havn’t been living the right kind o f life, and I am losing out. I want to come back and live as God would have me live.” Some body had been praying for him every noon and night, and God had answered their prayers. He is working for a reliable com pany now, and is getting along nicely. God is blessing him in his work there. He comes down to the Club and works with us two or three times a week. His testi mony is that though he puts in many a heavy day’s work, yet God is his strength. Does it pay? -■ ■* An encouraging letter comes from one o f our boys from Washington, another from Arizona, and a good many from all over the States. In almost every mail come letters saying that it was through the Biola Club, or a letter, tract or Scripture verse given by some o f the workers, that the writers came to know Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. One o f our men, back in Indiana, sends, us $10 for the work and asks that we remember him in prayer that he may win many souls for his. Master.
