Fork Gaiters Help to stop dirt getting into your fork seals, causing damage, and contaminating the oil. They also protect the fork leg itself from stones as you follow the rider in front down a rough ride. When a stone hits the fork leg, it makes a small dent in the chrome plating although it will not be apparent at the time. After a while small spots of rust will appear where the stones have chipped the chrome, leading to damage of your fork seals. Most 125cc to 500cc, and big trail bikes require the 380mm size. Length is measured from end to end, with the bigger the length the bigger the bore diameter.
