to get to know one another a little better. What a stunning location, we were enclosed in a glass-walled boardroom with 360 degree views of the island and surrounding ocean. It was the perfect setting to reflect on the qualifiers lives and dream a little about their futures. Their stories were told openly and honestly, they were inspirational and served to bring the group closer for the rest of our time on the island. After a good lunch and some free time by the pool, that evening we embarked upon what I think was the highlight of all the highlights on the trip. We boarded a beautiful yacht and were escorted to the top deck for the perfect dining experience. Drifting along to the sound of lightly crashing waves we enjoyed an exquisite dining experience under the stars. The Captain and his staff treated us like royalty while we let our hair down and had a really fun time with the team. Words cannot do justice to this night, it was a fun time I will remember forever. It’s almost impossible to explain what a beautiful part of the world the Whitsunday region is. It has that perfect warm, humid, holiday climate; world-class luxury resorts, restaurants and activities; and stunning scenery. It’s the perfect place to de-stress and celebrate your hard work Oh boy! We did this in style! The fun began as soon as we got off the plane. Private cars are not allowed on the island so you get around on foot or by golf buggy. To familiarise ourselves with the island and have a few mocktails and ice creams along the way, we started our activities with a golf buggy treasure hunt, won with style by the Director 7 divas Kirsty Bonner and Alexis Shuttlewood. In the evening, we celebrated their triumph over a delicious alfresco dinner at the Manta Ray restaurant. The company, the stories, the food and the fun made this the perfect start to an amazing trip. On Saturday morning we headed down to the Hamilton Yacht Club for a morning of training and networking but mostly for an opportunity
