The Sardis Junior Varsity Boys' basketball program defeated Southside 52-37 in the championship game of the 2026 Etowah County Tournament on Friday, January 16, 2026. Jebrelle Snow (#10) paced Sardis with 19 points and he was named the tournament's MVP. Bo Martin (#22) and Jake Miller (#0) both scored double figures in the game. Martin had 18 points and Miller had 11 points. Jud Miller (#11) and Bentley Cooper (#23) had two points each for the Lions. Bo, Jake and Jud made the All-tournament team. Albertville's Brian Hernandes (#30) eyes the basket as Brindlee Mountain's Zaden Childress (#13) defends on the play. The Aggies roared to a 70-27 victory over the Lions during the opening round of the 2026 Marshall County Tournament. Albertville also defeated the Boaz Pirates 69-44 to advance to and win the Tournament's Championship game on Saturday, January 17, 2026 against the Guntersville Wildcats. Guntersville reached the county championship game with a 71-24 victory over Asbury and a 69-44 victory over DAR.

Miles Rickles (#1) led Southside with 17 points. Seth Lovell (#10) and Miles Wheeler (#33) scored seven points each, while Anderson Hassell (#12) chipped in six points for the Panthers. The Hokes Bluff Junior Varsity Girls' Basketball program earned second place in the 2026 Etowah County Tournament after falling to Sardis 54-29 on Friday, January 16. Sarah Ponder, Vila Taliaferro and Victoria Taliaferro represented the Eagles on the All-tournament team. Hokes Bluff JV Girls Place Second
