ICE USA, InPrint USA Report Strong Sales

Following three conference days, ICE USA, the In- ternational Converting Exhibition, and the inaugural InPrint USA, the Industrial Print Show came to a close at the Orange County Convention Center in Or- lando, Florida, with more than 3,400 verified regis- trants in attendance. ICE USA 2017, marking its fourth edition in the Americas, brought together more than 250 exhibitors together with thousands of packaging, paper, non- woven and self-adhesive industry professionals. InPrint USA 2017 focused on connecting manufac- turers who use print as a key component of the man- ufacturing process with leading brands in the fields of industrial specialty, screen, digital, inkjet and 3D technology print solutions. Highlights of the ICE USA and InPrint USA exhibi- tions included: • Support from Latin American converting associa- tions and industry media helped drive new visitors from the Latin American region which helped boost the total ICE USA 2017 attendance numbers. • The first Global Industrial Inkjet Conference drew more than 50 registered attendees. • Visitors were able to take advantage of more than 85 conference sessions. • The Future of Converting Theater offered techni- cal educational sessions on the show floor to share best business practices, M&A’s, sustainability, industry forecasts, and more. • Dr. Robert Fry, Chief Economist, delivered a keynote presentation with his outlook for the global economy in 2017 and beyond, with emphasis on U.S. manufacturing. • More than 30 companies took advantage of the “Ask the Experts” program at ICE USA, which offered complimentary strategic and operational advice. The next ICE USA and InPrint USA shows will be held in Louisville, Kentucky,April 9-11, 2019. Flexographic Ink Market To Hit $4.16 Billion The flexographic ink Market is projected to grow from $3.27 billion in 2017 to $4.16 billion by 2022, at a CAGR of 4.89 percent during the forecast period, according to a new report from MarketsandMarkets. By technology, the water-based segment accounted for the largest market share in 2016. The growth of this segment can be attributed to the various proper- ties of water-based flexographic inks, such as less flammability, low VOC emissions, stable viscosity, and environment-friendliness, among others.
