Policies/Procedures

Guests Members are encouraged to invite friends to experience the benefits of Friends Club. One guest per member is allowed to register for each event or day trip. This policy also applies to extended travel. However, after the same guest travels with Friends Club on three extended trips, the guest will be invited to join Friends Club to continue traveling with the group. Parking Day trips depart from and return to the Hills Bank on Blairs Ferry Road in Cedar Rapids and the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Iowa City, unless otherwise noted in the payment letter sent to each registrant. Parking at these locations is free. Extended trips will depart from and return to designated locations in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, which will be noted in the trip information provided to each registrant. Itinerary, Payment, and Motorcoach Seating If registered for a day trip, a payment letter with trip itinerary, and a prepaid envelope will be mailed to each registrant. The letter will be sent at least a month prior to the day trip. A bus seating list will follow, mailed separately. Please call to request information for extended travel. Cancellations If a cancellation is necessary, please find a replacement or contact the Friends Club to see if there is a waiting list and a replacement can be found for you. Refunds for cancellations or inclement weather are not guaranteed due to nonrefundable circumstances, such as pre-purchased tickets and reservations. If an event, day trip, or extended trip is cancelled due to insufficient reservation numbers, a full refund will be issued. For extended travel that uses an outside travel agent, Friends Club will adhere to the written cancellation policy of the agent. Waiting List Events, day trips, and extended travel may have a waiting list. We appreciate your understanding and willingness to be on the waiting list. Do not be discouraged, you may get a call to join us!
