Revealing the Truth: Nancy Hanks Hills Bank in Mount Vernon (720 1st Ave) Tuesday, January 16, 1:00 p.m.

Abraham Lincoln was conspicuously silent about the family of his mother, Nancy Hanks, and to this day, many biographies of Lincoln continue to present mistaken accounts of her ancestry. Speaker Rich Hileman addresses the fallacies associated with President Lincoln’s mother through his presenting topic of Nancy Hank’s parentage. Hileman is a longtime resident of Mount Vernon, and through years of research, successfully debunked the more than one-hundred year- old dispute regarding Nancy Hank’s lineage. As a key contributor to the Mitochondrial DNA Study, and well-versed in newly uncovered historical evidence, Hileman’s presentation will appeal to both history buffs and current event enthusiasts alike. Register by Thursday, January 11, with a Friends Club representative at 319-679-2103 or Brenda_Langenberg@HillsBank.com.
