The day is an enjoyable way to raise awareness and funds for the National Jockeys Trust (NJT), which works to help support jockeys that are unable to race and their families. The racing highlight of the day is the Listed Hilton Nicholas Straight Six, an open sprint held under handicap conditions down Flemington’s famous straight. The Winter Series Heats continue at Flemington, ahead of Flemington Finals Race Day, 2 July. Watch the racing, support the jockeys and enjoy $5 “Happy Hours” Furphy beers from gates open until the jump of the third race and you can also purchase $5 pies and $5 fries from retail venues around course all day long!
