The Management Recruitment Group, formed in 2007, focuses on senior appointments in the Built Environment. Our team, currently over forty strong, work in specialist business units covering a broad range of activities from Estates Management to Bids, Design, Construction, Property and Infrastructure. Our Board has an average of over twenty five years’ experience in recruitment in Construction and Property, our Managers average over twelve years’ in their specialist fields and our Consultants average over ten years. We are unlike most other recruiters you will come across, we are a specialist management recruiter, a hybrid between an Executive Search business and a recruitment agency. The benefit to our clients is that we can offer choice. We look for solutions rather than sell a specific service - be it search, permanent campaigns, freelance, or a bespoke campaign that uses different elements of each. We focus on managerial, technical and first board appointments working in vertical niche markets. These specialisms have been developed over 25 years by our Directors and they match and mirror exactly what our clients do. This means you have the benefit of talking to someone who really knows what they are talking about.

We ask to be judged on what we have done rather than what we say we can do. We’ve done some really interesting work and are happy to stand behind our track record and list of references.

Our Board is made up of industry leaders. They have successful track records building specialist recruitment businesses. Our Business Sector Directors, who form our Management Board, are also your Account Directors and are some of the best specialists in the market. Our recruiters are also different. They have an average of 10 years’ recruitment experience and the average age is 35. We call it senior level recruitment by senior level recruiters.

Freelance Staff The supply of freelance personnel on daily / hourly rates. Good Freelance staff should enhance a team and we work hard to ensure that we deliver the right candidate with the right experience at the right time and price. so we employ the same rigorous approach to the identification of Interim Managers as we do for senior level permanent appointments. Interim Staffing The supply of specialist Interim Managers on either weekly / monthly hire or Fixed Term Contracts. Interim Managers need to hit the ground running and add value to a project or organisation from day one

We understand good candidates are very difficult to find and all of our Consultants access a wide range of networks to identify the best candidates “in the market” rather than the best candidates “on the market”. Recruitment is competitive Almost every business we meet has recruitment high on their agenda. They are either actively recruiting or are looking to add to their current headcount in the coming months. Don’t compromise on your criteria Because good candidates are scarce it can be tempting to compromise on a specification when under pressure to appoint. However, a wrong hire is more costly than no hire and getting a campaign off on the right footing helps minimise risk. Colin personally delivers all Senior Appointments and Search assignments on behalf of our key clients and plays an active role in managing complex and difficult to fill vacancies. He spent 2 years in sales and marketing working with News International after graduating from the University of East Anglia, before moving into recruitment at HAYS and after four years he became a founding Director of a specialist recruitment business within the built environment.
