While everyone is thinking of their loved ones and how to express their appreciation for them this month, we're thinking of Dora Godnig, one of our co-owners and amazing physical therapists and celebrating her birthday this month! When Dora was born, she and her mom were gifted with something that has served Dora well through her journey to Maximum Solutions. Donna, Dora's mother, was given a schefflera dwarf plant as a gift from her mother, Ruby Hershey, for giving birth to her second child, Dora. So, Dora has grown up with this extraordinary plant her entire life. The plant itself, however, is over 40 years old. This beautiful plant lived on Donna's sun porch until Dora graduated high school. Over the

years, the schefflera had bloomed into a beautiful plant and was a staple of their household. When Dora decided to move into her first apartment, Donna gave her this plant as a housewarming present. Unfortunately, the plant didn’t do as well living with Dora, so she returned it to live with her mother. The plant found its way back to Dora, but over the years, she struggled to keep it healthy because she had so little natural sunlight. When Dora planned to attend physical therapy school, she knew the amazing schefflera plant would need proper care and sunlight. So, she returned the plant to her mother again for safekeeping as she worked her way through school. Once Dora was finished with PT school, Donna returned the plant she adored so much. At this point, she was fortunate enough to meet Cara Sadowski, our other co-owner, who is a fantastic physical therapist in her own right. They both decided having the beautiful schefflera plant reside within their business would be a gift of good luck and positive energy. This plant serves a significant purpose here at Maximum Solutions because it gives off oxygen and provides aesthetic beauty.

plant stands out because of its beauty and history. Several patients have asked for a piece of the plant, which we're always happy to supply. Now, parts of the schefflera live in many homes of friends, family, and patients who attend PT here. We are happy to announce that this month, we're celebrating both Dora and this unique plant. Do you have any plants at home? If so, how many? What type are they? Let us know next time you're in the office! We obviously have a few green thumbs in the office, so we are always looking for the next unique plant to add beauty to either of our offices.

“Even though we have many plants in the ESTBG office, this particular plant stands out because of its beauty and history.”
