Club? How may I become a member? K.Y.B.C. stands for the “ Know Your Bible Club” which was founded by Mrs. Helen Howarth Lemmel. (Mrs. Lemmel wrote the hymn “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus” and many lovely songs for boys and girls.) You may become a member of K.Y.B.C. by reading the Gospel of John and getting a friend to read it also. Send in your name and your friend’s name and a K.Y.B.C. pin will be mailed to you and your name will be printed in the J unior K ing ’ s B usiness page! When your friend gets a friend to read it, he too, may send in his name and the name of his friend and become a member of the K.Y.B.C. The purpose of the K.Y.B. Club is to acquaint the readers of the J unior K ing ’ s B usiness page with the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and to know and love God’s Book, the Bible. We hope through the stories, puzzles, and special features on this page to accom plish this aim and purpose. K.Y.B.C. has a club song all its own! It was written by the founder, Mrs. Lemmel, and we are printing it for all of our new members. Won’t you begin singing it with the other club members? Announcing! Someth ing to M a k e T he month of May brings Mother’s Day. As you think of this day, I am sure you are asking this ques tion: “What can I give to Mother on her special day?” Mothers like things that are made especially for them—so why not make your mother a Mother’s Day Booklet of Bible Verses? Choose a pretty piece of construc tion paper for the cover of your book and white paper for the pages. You will need enough white paper to make six pages. From a piece of construction paper the same color as the piece you chose for the cover, c u t the letters M-O-T-H-E-R. The headlines in the daily newspaper will furnish patterns for the letters or you may use the letters from an ABC book for the patterns. Paste one letter on each of the white pages of the book. Then write on each page a Bible verse beginning with that letter as: M ‘M y peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). o O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!” (Rom. 11:33). “ The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the ever lasting arms” (Deut. 33:27). Her price is far above rubies . . . Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her” (Prov. 31:10, 28). “ Every good gift and every per fect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (Jas. 1:17). ‘Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him” (Psa. 37:7). When the book is completed, place all of the white pages within the cover, punch holes and tie with a ribbon or cord. A picture of flowers, cut from a magazine, would decorate the cover; or use a picture of a mother and her child. If you give your mother on Mother’s Day a book such as has been suggested, you will make her very happy. K . F . « . C . F or the new readers of the J unior K ing ’ s B usiness page, we say a hearty Welcome, and trust that you will soon, become members of the K.Y.B. Club! What is the K.Y.B. rJ* H E R
