6.16 ACCEPTABLE USE OF TECHNOLOGY & DEVICES
Tampa Brass & Aluminum Corp. (TBA) provides communication, computer, and portable devices to support business operations. Employees are expected to use these resources responsibly, professionally, and in compliance with Company policies and applicable laws.
General Use Company systems, networks, and devices (including cell phones, laptops, tablets, and email) are primarily for business use. Limited personal use is permitted if it does not interfere with job performance, violate Company policy, or create legal/compliance risks. Employees should have no expectation of privacy when using Company-provided devices or networks; all use may be monitored to the extent permitted by law. Portable Communication Devices (PCDs) Company-issued devices must be used primarily for business. Personal use should be limited to emergencies. Employees authorized to use personal devices for business must configure them through IT. Upon separation, personal devices used for business must be submitted to IT for removal of Company information. All communications (calls, texts, emails, messages) must remain professional and comply with Company policies on confidentiality, harassment, discrimination, and conduct. Employees may not share login credentials or allow another employee to use their assigned device. Recordings & Confidentiality Employees may not record meetings, conversations, or activities (including via phones, cameras, Teams, or AI note-takers) without prior approval, except for training purposes authorized by management. Recordings (especially those with video or screen shares) may contain sensitive business information or personal data (e.g., names, emails, health, or financial information). Improper storage or sharing of such recordings could result in data breaches or compliance violations. Violations may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Use While Driving Employees must comply with all state and local laws regarding device use while driving on Company business. Texting or emailing while driving is strictly prohibited. Calls, if permitted by law, must be made with hands-free devices and only when it is safe to do so. Security & Return of Property
Employees are responsible for safeguarding Company devices and information. All Company property, data, and credentials must be returned upon separation. Unauthorized duplication, access, or removal of Company information is prohibited.
