“My name is Cole Carroll. I am 17 years old, and a senior at Edmond Memorial High School. May 8th, 2021 I was at a wrestling tournament when I fully dislocated my knee, resulting in a fully ruptured ACL, partially torn MCL, and torn meniscus. Due to my MCL being partially torn I had to undergo 5 weeks of pre-op physical therapy. Thankfully, by doing pre-op therapy my recovery has been much easier, and it allowed me time to connect with my therapists and feel comfortable to be vulnerable post surgery. Post surgery I was having a very hard time as I had a hamstring graft and my recovery was very tough in the beginning. However, since starting back up at physical therapy, my life and knee have gotten tremendously better.
