When we dine together I gaze at her across the dinner table. I know that every eye in the room is captivated by her and her intricate and vivacious jewellery adds to her allure. To think that I have attracted such a fine example of a Renaissance woman – someone with such strong sensuality and the gravitas to wear such substantial and statement-making designs, makes me feel that I have arrived. My life’s work has been worth it. With the pieces she wears, she is even more impressive, even more untouchable. She is mysterious and enigmatic, but she is accessible to me. I feel so lucky to be able to look after her. In turn, she looks after me.
