our company
Radici Pietro Industries & Brands which is part of the international group Miro Radici Family of Companies, was established in 1950 as a Woven carpet factory, and is grown into a multifaceted international textile group, without loosing its original identity: a factory of carpets that cares for its customers and works with its customers. In just a few years it became market leader in Italy, gained significant market share in Europe and opened branches in the main European countries and in the USA. In an increasingly globalized world, Radici remains true to its philosophy and its vocation. Right from the start, its watchword has been quality, which is an essential part of Italian products, an essential part of Val Seriana, the valley where we are at home, an area that has historical ties to the world of textiles. In 2018, almost 70 years after it was founded, Radici is the only Italian manufacturer of wall-to-wall carpeting through its Radici Contract, Sit-in, Due Palme and Radici Marine brands.
At Radici, tradition marries innovation to put state-of-the-art textile technology at the service of creativity.

global presence
1990 - 2000
We have been present in the naval sector for many years, especially in the cruise sector, thanks to the acquisition of Due Palme, a globally recognized reality for woven carpets. At that time the cruise ships represented a purely elitist tourism and therefore an exclusive carpet was required, like the services and products offered on board. We collaborate with Princess Cruises, Costa Cruises, Fincantieri, Mitsubishi, Chantier De L’atlantique. The tourist product “Cruises” becomes more and more “mass”, the offer increases, and consequently in order to be competitive, shipowners not only required a quality product, but also take care of the “price” aspect. For this reason, the IMO product range is greatly expanded by offering Tufting quality, but above all the Face to Face, which allows you to better meet the market demand with an excellent quality / price ratio. In 2007, thanks to General Contractors (B & B and Santarossa), we became suppliers of Fincantieri for the new ships of Carnivall group. (Carnival Dream, Costa Pacifica, Costa Luminosa, Emerald Princess). 2000 - 2010

2010 - 2018
The refurbishment sector becomes more and more important, we realize complete refits for Ibero Cruzeros, Costa Cruises, Princess and Cunard. In 2016 we fixed an agreement with Carnival for supplying cabins and suite. In 2018 we create Radici Marine, a new dedicated business unit.

quality There are many unseen properties that contribute to quality of the carpet. All the characteristics of the carpet must be understood and taken into consideration to truly determine the quality. Tufting, Axminster, Wilton, Colortec are the most popular technologies to produce a wall to wall carpets, all of them have some positives and negatives aspects depending overall for the kind of final use. What really makes a great difference in term of quality is the perfect mix of the fiber density and the quality of the yarn used. fiber density Fiber density refers to the amount of yarn used in a carpet and the closeness of the tufts. The measure of density is at the backing, not the surface. At the surface the density may appear good, but when you spread the tufts and look underneath, the base of each tuft may be far apart. Over time, low density carpet will show more matting. yarn In Radici we really consider raw material the most important aspect and for this reason we control every single step of the manufacturing, including the yarn production. Let’s why we decided to use for our qualities wool from New Zealand and to spin the yarn in our company Radici Hungary allowing us to avoid any problems with the fibers. For all our wool products and overall for Wilton qualities, Radici decides to use New Zealand sheep wool because has better utility properties than all european and chinese wool suppliers. advantages It’s important to underline clearly that New Zealand Wool fibers are finer, longer and whiter than other fibers and offer to the carpet the following superior advantages: - is consistently of uniform quality, free from chemical contaminants
