Located at 684 Warden Ave., Scarborough, ON, this senior house project is a paragon of innovative architectural design, featuring a visually dynamic facade with an array of living units. The design employs an interplay of shapes and volumes, creating a striking silhouette accentuated with balconies and terraces. The building’s interior is equally captivating, with thoughtfully desig- ned corridors interrupted by strategically placed communal nodes. These nodes widen the corridors and serve as social hubs, encouraging spontaneous interactions among residents, thus transforming routine passages into vibrant social experiences. The architectural vision emphasizes not only aesthetics but also the creation of a thriving community atmosphere. The amenities provided on the first level and basement are comprehensi- ve and cater to diverse resident needs, including parking, a central lounge, dining hall, gym, hair salon, healthcare facilities, a hobby and games room, library, party room, pharmacy, and a tuck shop. This extensive range of facili- ties supports a vibrant and inclusive community lifestyle. With a total of 250 units across six floors in each flange and eight floors in the core, comprising 88 one-bedroom units, 38 two-bedroom units, and 125 bachelor units, the project ensures residents can find living spaces tailored to their preferences. This diverse array of accommodations, combined with the blend of form, fun- ction, and sustainability, fosters a dynamic and connected community where residents can thrive.
