Giving Back Brings Joy
ANNUAL FUND BY THE NUMBERS
“I know how important Interlochen can be in young peoples’ lives,” alumnus and monthly donor Don Fairman (IAA 92-95) says, “because I’ve seen it in my own life.” As the trumpet major, now a financial consultant, makes plans to attend his 30-year Academy reunion, Don sees the enduring impact of Interlochen in a variety of ways: from his friends to his clients to the trumpet proudly perched on a desk stand. “It’s just an awesome place,” he says.

“Supporting Interlochen is like investing in a cutting-edge factory of creativity and brilliance. It’s a no-brainer.” — Don Fairman (IAA 92-95) For Don, giving back to Interlochen is an organic choice. Don is an Evergreen member of our President’s Club. “It’s important for all of us to contribute to the things we believe in,” he says. “Giving back is a great joy.” Through Interlochen, Don formed lasting friendships and was poised for success in his career. He says, “Money management is easy compared to the challenges of an Interlochen education and the high-pressure auditions for which alumni leave campus prepared. You learn discipline at Interlochen.”
