vision and accomplishments over the last year. Brogan was nominated by NJAA’s president, Lynne Aber. The nomination also included let- ters of support from leading business trade groups, legis- lators and colleagues. “It was truly my honor to nominate David for the award. Since his arrival at NJAA, he’s taken our organi- zation to new levels. Over the last three years, NJAA has become a leading advocate for the apartment industry in Trenton, shattered member- ship records, further profes- sionalized our industry with an expanded education pro- gram, and grew our annual conference and expo to new heights,” said Lynne Aber, President of the New Jersey Apartment Association. In addition to the As A so- ciation Executive of the Year Award, NJAAwas recognized by the NAA for its advocacy on behalf of the multifamily industry. NJAA received the Excellence Award for Gov- ernment Affairs. Specifically, NJAA distinguished itself for its ability to lead coalitions of business and industry or- ganizations toward a shared advocacy goal and achieve legislative and regulatory successes with efficiency and innovation. Earlier this year, NJAA also received a Communica- tor Award of Distinction from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts for the Sep- tember/October 2016 New Construction and Renovation issue of Apartment Industry Magazine. The Communica- tor Awards contest is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring creative excellence in com- munications in the nation. NJAA’s Apartment Industry Magazine also received a 2017 Award of Excellence from the Apex Awards for Publication Excellence contest. The New Jersey Apart- ment Association (NJAA) is the premier trade associa- tion representing all facets of the multifamily housing industry, including market rate and affordable housing owners, managers and devel- opers, as well as suppliers. NJAA’s membership owns and manages over 200,000 apartments, providing qual- ity housing to over one mil- lion New Jerseyans. n
