S pecialist manufacturer, Sperrin Ebrington Hotel development project. The Draperstown firm provided the switchgear for the hotel from the NIE intake switchboard housed in the external kiosk and the internal main switchboard with its automatic generator changeover Switchgear fabricated and supplied all the essential switchgear for the

installed a mobile generator connection box. All the switchgear was designed and manufactured in-house by Sperrin’s highly skilled and experienced team, using components from only reputable brands. “Delivery was the main challenge,” admitted Niall

“To do this, we deployed extra resources, including materials and labour, to meet the tight schedule. We had to use readily available components to expedite the process, which meant at times we were using components of a higher specification than what was required by the consultant’s brief in order to achieve those delivery dates. “We also visited the site several times to ensure everything was proceeding as planned and to explore potential design improvements.” Commenting on the completed project, Niall said, “I believe everyone, from the builder right through to all the subcontractors, was aligned with the project’s goals and timelines. There was a shared commitment to the project’s success, and this collaboration was key to its smooth execution.”

arrangement. Three large sub distribution switchboards were provided for key areas throughout the building.

An extensive metering system was employed to give remote access for all the critical supplies. Additionally, Sperrin Switchgear supplied equipment to control the kitchen appliances and

licensing requirements. Obviously, having the main switchboard manufactured and installed early in the project was a key element of meeting that required date.
