The Lighthouse Charity’s Make it Visible on-site team have been spreading the message of support again to the electrical and Lighthouse Charity Make it Visible in Ireland
construction community in Ireland. The week-long tour in July saw the Make it Visible van and team members Andy, Lee, Rob and Jack visiting Limerick, Ennis, Sligo, Cork, Waterford and Dublin. In total, they visited 14 sites and met over 2,000 site operatives. Launched last year in a bid to reach out to the ‘boots on the ground’ workforce, the Make it Visible tours are hugely popular and take the message of wellbeing support directly to where it needs to be. As well as delivering a toolbox talk, the tour team share their own lived experiences with the struggles they have had and talk about the importance of looking after emotional wellbeing, both on and off-site and reaching out for support at an early stage. The team visited sites across a range of Irish companies, including Dornan Engineering, Keirnan Electrical and Weltec Engineering. More tours in Ireland are scheduled for October, November and December.
