MARCH HIGH-FIVE SELECTIONS
Easy From: Jim Shaffer — Sales Specialist, Boise To: Boise Finish
was our first delivery to a new customer. I mentioned the scenario and what had happened and immediately saw the wheels turning. They reacted in record time to correct my error. It feels amazing to have a team like that to back you up. I appreciate your help!” Strive From: Ian Beane — Manager Door & Finish, Fruitland To: Cherie Littleton — Admin-Door/Finish
“ Way to go, Boise Door Shop! You guys rock, and you don’t hear it enough. We have a lot of customers out there who don’t give us feedback. And then, we have some of them who only give us negative feedback. Over the last five years, I have been hearing feedback from Larry Richardson about how we don’t build a pre-hung door right. He has a couple of TRUE CRAFTSMEN who do all of his finish work … Today, I asked them how the doors were built on this last job we just sent, LARRY RICHARDSON 25/1 BELLA TOSCANA. He said they were the BEST they have seen in 2-3 years. They all were installed with great ease, the doorstops were perfect and didn’t have to move at all, and the revels were very good. All the things they normally complain about were good. NICE JOB, PRODUCTION — YOU GUYS ROCK.”
“ I would like to give Cherie a big ol’ HIGH-FIVE for Strive. She is new(ish) to the door world, coming from various other FBS departments. She is learning that the door world is vast compared to others. Every day, her confidence is growing, and this review is a call-out to that. She helped this walking customer from start to finish, never missing a beat and finding the correct information so our production team can do what they do best. We know it takes a team, and with great team members, it helps a lot! You can see the customer was extremely happy with her and the work our door shop produced (as am I). This is what we want our fellow owners to ‘Strive’ for. Thank you, Cherie — your work is appreciated!”
Wow From: Jordan Lierz Paeth — Manager Installed Sales, DI To: Duane Dowell — Project Manager, DI
' High-Five to Duane Dowell, Project Manager for interior installed products, for wowing Solitude Homes. We received feedback from the group at Solitude that Duane is an excellent field resource and has significantly improved their experience when it comes to installing cabinets and making sure the installation process runs as smoothly as possible. Thanks to Duane for helping wow our customers!”
Safe From: Lindsay Ross — Manager, DI To: Melissa Gray — Sales Specialist
“ During our fire drill, Melissa was meeting with customers for a selection appointment. She calmly guided them out the door and asked them to remain with the group through our check-in process. With them outside, she continued her customer service and remained engaged with them through the process. Thank you, Melissa, for providing your customers with a great customer experience while keeping them safe!”
Guide From: Joey Green — Account Coordinator, Boise To: Boise Yard

CASEY HAZELBUSH TAKES THE HELM IN BURLEY The New GM Has Plenty of Experience
We are proud to introduce Casey Hazelbush as the new general manager of our Burley location. Casey grew up working in the building industry. He started framing with his big brother Art when he was 14 and worked as a framer for the next 10 years. Casey’s building experience continued to expand in his next position, where he worked for a builder and did everything from framing to tile. After that, he worked in the same builder’s cabinet and granite shop and was promoted from installer to supervisor. As his early employment indicates, Casey works smart and pushes himself to be successful in everything he does. It is no surprise that growth opportunities at Franklin have always found Casey. Franklin recruited Casey in 2012 when he began working for Costco. He first worked part time for FBS on the sales counter in Pocatello. One and a half years later, we asked Casey to move full time to cabinet and flooring sales. Another opportunity came knocking shortly after when we asked Casey to run Pocatello’s door shop. Casey said, “With my history of production and running shops, I jumped at the chance!” For the next five years, Casey led the charge in Pocatello’s doorshop. During this time, he immersed himself and the shop into becoming LEAN and helped his crew fully embrace
6S. Two years ago, we asked Casey to consider another opportunity and become the Eastern Idaho sales manager. Casey was a little apprehensive but said he trusted us, and if we thought he could do it, then he could do it. We had no doubt!
Casey exemplifies the opportunities available in our employee-owner culture at Franklin Building Supply. When you embrace your current role, whatever it may be, and work hard to help everyone improve, you will be noticed and presented with opportunities to grow yourself and our company! When Casey isn’t working, he enjoys rock climbing, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Casey loves spending time with his wife JessLyn, an attorney for Bannock County, and his stepson, DJ. Recently, Casey has loved his new role as a soccer dad, cheering on as his wife coaches DJ.
Congratulations, Casey, on this next step in your career with FBS!
