Greetings to all members and welcome to the latest issue of Grassroots with Passion. Chinese New Year Lohei Dinner at The Grassroots’ Club (TGC) received overwhelming response and all members and their friends greatly enjoyed the evening while renewing ties and strengthening bonds. Thank you for arriving in full force with your positive energy. You can turn to page 4 to recap the joyous evening. TGC is set up specially for grassroots leaders (GRLs) inrecognitionof their contributions to community service. recreational and development needs of GRLs. Our Vision is to be the Club of choice for GRLs in Singapore. This will also help to build a stronger and more cohesive grassroots network. We are excited to announce that with effect 1 May 2019, TGC Merchant Privileges are now extended to GRLs! You can read up on the details on page 11.

Ramadan will begin on 5 May 2019. It is the most important month of the Muslim calendar, leading up to Hari Raya Aidilfitri. We know that some of you are curious about fasting and the Hari Raya celebrations. We hope the article on page 8 can help to answer some of your queries. Not forgetting our valued Club Members, do take note of the discounts that youcanenjoy with ourtenants(page3). Youwillalsoenjoyexclusivediscounts if you hold functions at any of TGC’s banqueting facilities (Banquet Hall, Theatrette, Dance Studio, Meeting Rooms, Multi-Purpose Hall & Atrium). These serve as ideal places for personal celebrations, company events, grassroots functions and networking within the grassroots community.
